Early 1900's, Joseph Price, starting working life as an engineer moved to the John Bull rubber company on

development of rubber tyres, which were in their infancy.

Later moving to  Firestone’s tyre factory.

Meeting an owner of a rubber company, he was persuaded to

run a factory in Box,Wiltshire, developing tyres, tennis balls, squash balls and rubber products.

1939,war time....ball production ceased, switching to  making, tyres and rubber components for armoured vehicles, tanks etc.

In 1947 he registered J Price(Bath), later absorbing

the Box business that had ran into difficulties.

Derek, his son, joined the business in 1947 and still developing balls and other rubber products.

Derek’s daughter Louise joined the company over 10 years ago and has been taking over the running of the business. Together they have built and moved into a new factory to take Price into the next 100 years! Exciting times!
